It was a decent attempt, but the characters are really stupid. The night cinematograpy looked amazing. #HorrorMovies

Glad I tuned in for a 2nd watch of #TheYellowCanary. Despite weaknesses, there was plenty of noir to like, Floyd Crosby cinematograpy, interesting info on Pat Boone, production and his friendship with Corey. Great #NoirAlley, @eddiemuller.bsky.social! #TCMParty
(And yes to adding #NeilYoung ❤️ 😁)

What a great shot. Your photography reminds me of the cinematograpy in Joel Coen's rendition of MacBeth. Which I also found outstanding.

Yes, I was focused on the dialogue. The blocking and cinematograpy, which I know much less about, I pretty much ignored, and now I see your point.

yeah, set design, casting, cinematograpy all first class for sure but the writing for the barbie movie felt like the weakest part of it
i am being a little flippant when i say it's a lego movie for 30yo women (and i liked the lego movie too) but it explores themes at the same depth as lego film did

It's also a game that I will defend its original camera as its best. Kojima's obsessed with movies, he has an understanding of cinematograpy, and the fixed camera angles allow him to bake interesting and well-composed shots into gameplay. Subsistence's modern camera mode completely shits on that.

It was a great night for horror films at the Oscars last night. A vampire movie landed Best Actor, Best Original Screenplay, Best Cinematograpy (with the first woman cinematographer to win), and Best Original Score. 1/2

While it is still a WiP film, it has violence; it has nudity; it has sleaze but it also a heart, imaganition, pure artistry. An outrageously beautiful experience, even with the grit and the grimness. The use of colours, the costumes, the cinematograpy, it's an explosion of cinematic passion. (2/3) 🎥

Oh of course, how could I forget the harsh shadows and strong sense of atmosphere. Which were such novel concepts in BLACK AND WHITE cinematograpy.
That’s why Bride of Frankenstein is my favourite film noir.

@bahnhofskino.com #BRUTALIST hätte mich schon sehr interessiert. Mehrfach war zu lesen und zu hören, dass er visuell herausragend sein soll. Und vorhin bekam er den Cinematograpy-Oscar. In #Frankfurt lief er nur in Kellerkinos mit 60 bis 80 Plätzen.

ACoD is the funniest novel I've ever read. It is utterly unique. John Cale is 'classical tone w/pop melodies'. DI is my favorite Film Noir. Direction, acting, dialogue, cinematograpy, lighting. I've watched it dozens of times. And it's to bed for me. Pleasure making your aquaintance, Christine. :)

Dear Old School Punk Librarian: Indeed, O BROTHER WHERE ART THOU (2000) is an enjoyable movie set in 1930s Mississippi, having earned 2 Oscar nominations (Best Screenplay Adaptation and Best Cinematograpy); this weekend may be a good time to check it out.👍

In 2006 I attended a lecture by cinematographer Chris Doyle where he showed a clip of Happy Together, edited to the music of an instrumental version of Perfidia. The arrangement was electronic, or so I recall it.
I've been looking for that version for almost 20 years now.
Help please?

Just watched Dragonwyck, Joseph L. Mankiewicz's first film with Vincent Price and Gene Tierney.
Ace gothic melodrama with a rambling plot full of dead ends and weird touches, tons of wonderful haughty, clipped speechifyin' from Price, gorgeous B+W cinematograpy, unsettling score. Lovely stuff!

Yes, I will admit I've never seen Psycho nor The Birds but I am acutely aware of their plots from cultural zeitgeist that I don't really need to see them outside of a cinematograpy perspective (an issue I also have with Citizen Kane)
