True. Australia was built on industry co-operatives: diary, fishing, etc. I'm a little jaded having lived on two land sharing co-operatives.

We do need to rethink economics. Concepts such as the Circular Economy, Growing & Buying Local, etc are all more sustainable

A company that repairs what it sells. A packaging system where the container comes back. These aren't experiments — they're businesses.

The circular economy is already here, quietly outperforming the linear one. The 'take, make, waste' model was a default. Defaults can change.

Throughout October, Green Alliance’s Circular Economy Task Force will be spotlighting the opportunities a circular economy could unlock for businesses, people and the wider economy, and why every day of inaction is a day wasted.

A circular economy can strengthen supply chains, create jobs and growth and reduce our reliance on vulnerable global resources.

It also makes a difference to people’s everyday lives, ensuring products last for longer and are designed for more repair and reuse, less waste and lower costs.

I think we're already past the threshold of failure.

If you ignore NVIDIA et. al., you end up with an economy that's solidly in a recession, and only being propped up by all the circular financing going on.

"Look at the hard data..." says the guy who is in charge of manipulating the data. Independent pollsters are all lying because the administration can't manipulate the data that they use. The US economy is just 5 companies. If you're in that circular financing Ponzi scheme you're all good... if not 👋
