God forbid we prevent a motorist with 160 citations from killing an innocent person.
American healthcare is so fucked up: 16-year-old Sara Yara was killed by an unlicensed driver with more than 160 traffic citations. Though Sara spent just half a day at the hospital before dying, her family faces a $60K bill sent to collections a year later after her insurer denied coverage.

Here is a mass attempted replication of old findings of LLMs with new models. Much conventional wisdom is outdated.

Recent models no longer invent citations and both hallucination rates & stereotyping has dropped. But they are still sycophantic & lean left. zou-group.github.io/llm-claims-s...

When time comes to record history, HCR will be remembered as one of the true scribes.

Much future research will be based on her letters, even if they need to attribute her citations.
Seriously 😤 💥

Those stupid AI summaries really irritate me (and you shouldn't rely on them because they are frequently wrong and when they give citations, those citations often don't support what they say).
November 1, 2026 at 3:25 AM
I think they are the “I had to read this in my mandatory first-year theory/approaches seminar” citations. The “I am part of a bigger conversation, I really am” citations.

Most citations of "fuck around, find out" omit the pivotal third clause: "forget this ever happened"

Three years ago, our 2023 @drjamesehansen.bsky.social et al. paper, 'Global warming in the pipeline' was published.

Earth’s Energy Imbalance has continued to increase, and most of the 463 citations support our findings.

Me voilà qui reposte les citations du pape. Mais quelle époque...
Pope Leo XIV has spent his pontificate warning that democracy cannot survive a passive citizenry, and five days before the midterms his words land squarely on American Catholics.

“We cannot remain as unengaged spectators,” he told the faithful in September.
Why Pope Leo XIV Wants Every Catholic to Vote
Francis called indifference “a cancer of democracy,” and Leo says Catholics cannot be “unengaged spectators.” With five days left, here is our voter guide and the pledge I’m asking you to take.

I once had someone calling my citations and acknowledgements of other people’s work “name-dropping and showing off”
“You only read books so you’ll know stuff other people don’t” was something someone said to me once.
