preventing civilian casualties is my passion
Some of the identified individuals the US killed in the Caribbean and eastern Pacific showed "no indication of involvement with drug trafficking."

And even if they were traffickers, they'd be low level. Killing them would make virtually no impact on the cartels or drug trafficking into the US.
Pleased to speak with @theguardian.com about the US boat strikes and this important investigation into the identities of the victims.

“I think this was in part a military spectacle to give the illusion of the administration doing something ‘macho’ about drugs.”

To think there are still people out there talking about "targeted strikes" and "minimising civilian casualties". This is no different to what Russia has done in Eastern Ukraine.
