Today I played around with the maquee package for text styling by @thomasp85.com. The custom styling system is very nice. Here is a simple example.

2. A function like `style_set()` but that includes or makes it possible to include the defaults. Something like `style_set(setosa = style(...), ..., .defaults = classic_style())`.

I think there are two simple options.

1. A function `modify_style_set()` that takes `tag = style()` type arguments, so I can write:
`classic_style() |> modify_style_set(setosa = style(...), ...)`

I haven’t tested it with size, but I reckon marquee’s own custom span syntax might be what you need Cara! You use `{.mytag Blah}`, then call `modify_style(classic_style(), “mytag”, …)` when creating your style to separately style the span marquee.r-lib.org/articles/mar...

I don't know of an easy incantation but you'd modify the style to add a new tag:

```r
style <- classic_style() |>
modify_style("big", size = 32)
```
And then you can use the geom as follows:

```r
geom_marquee(
aes(..., label = "I'm {.big big} text"),
style = style
)
```
