Now about using other colours instead of black, grey and white. Yes! It works a treat! Using pink makes your yellow contrast like paint very vibrant and the recesses will come out kinda orange. Purple is a great undertone for Ork skin too. Just keep in mind you'll want some white on top for the pop.

Working on a WIP. Another much higher effort than my normal skaven, hoping to finish a spearhead and in general start to push my painting into more complicated techniques. (I still paint up stuff like clanrats real quick tho).
A cropped image of a clawlord on gnaw beast. Shows an incomplete paintjob. The Gnaw Beast itself is the only thing with colour on it, the rest of the model is primed black. The Gnaw Beast is a gross lanky giant rat-dog, with shaggy fur hanging off it in long trails. It is covered in blisters and boils, and the flesh on its face is stretched and torn and in places seems to be almost sloughing off. Raw patches of skin peek out from under the fur. It is partially painted- wholly basecoated in a rich, dark red. Only the fur is actually painted properly so far though- sketchy grey lines starting dark and then highlighting up to a bright grey, with red still poking through in the shadows. The flesh has yet to be painted.

Indeed, and we've more inbound, yes-yes! Good chunk of a Vanguard (everything except the Grey Seer apparently), half err two thirds to three quarters of Skaventide (Rat Ogors, Clawlord, Clan Rats), ten Stormvermin, another Verminlord, and the obligatory Doomwheel.

Lol. You're basically Clawlord of the Year, even the lowliest troops have a lovely coat of paint, they'll be eternally grateful while getting mulched in the trenches.

How much time did you sink into the set? I keep eyeing Sylvaneth (bugs!! plants! made for Me) but so far I've resisted temptation 😅

Mangler Squigs with pink to purple skin and blue and yellow spots. Troggoth with purple to pink skin, blue hide and yellow crystals in hand. It also has a very red nose! Clawlords are effective Skaven warlords who lead from the back. In Warhammer Survivors, as they come under attack, Clawlords use the Cornered Rat skill, which forces them to act erRATically. 🐀
