I took one of these and one of those and slapped them in my Atari Lynx II. Now, it won't kill itself and it looks and plays great. I had more trouble with the cleanscreen install than I did the cleanpower but I got there in the end.

Next, attach the white cleanscreen PCB to the mainboard. Handily, Retrosix have designed it to fit where the old backlight shield screwed to the board. 3D printed mounts go on the other side to hold the new screen. Unfortunately the PCB had a fault so I’ve had to send it back for reprogramming

Soooo, remember that Game Gear you sold me? I may have messed it up a bit when applying the CleanScreen mod. I *think* I know what the problem is but my solder skills are not so great. Would you be interested in taking a look?

So we have a new CleanJuice power board, a CleanScreen 3.1.2 pcb and IPS screen to go into the GG. Power board is an easy swap, old one out, new one in. Had to trim some plastic out of the battery compartments though, to make room for the new rechargeable cells. Also replaced the capacitors

That's right, 2-player is only for SMS games.

I went with the RetroSix CleanScreen, but the cap replacement before it was installed made the screen come back to life so effectively it almost didn't even need the new screen!

Wahey! Final steps! The reprogrammed PCB is back from Retrosix. Let’s get it all hooked back up! (Still using a jumper wire for the HSYNC as I cannot for the life of me manage to solder the ribbon connector to the correct pin on the ASIC

While waiting for the Cleanscreen board to be reprogrammed, the new audio PCB arrived so I took the old, corroded one out and plonked the shiny new one in its place. First confirmation I’ve had that this Game Gear isn’t completely dead too!

Received a Game Gear for the full works:

-CleanScreen TFT LCD Screen w/flex kit
-CleanJuice USB-C Rechargeable kit
-Custom blue shell/buttons
-Full recap and cleaning
