A lateral view. The narrow waist is incredible. Most clearwings I see have cylindrical bodies without any indentation. 🌿🌱

Still a great total. I think I’ve said to you before, you should definitely invest in some lures. You’re missing out on a whole new world of fun, particularly with the clearwings!!

Wow! I guess the concrete jungle must discourage/prevent things from wandering to your trap then, but the nearby habitat probably explains why your garden seems so good for clearwings.

Ah, it’s ok. It’s not like I’ve had no clearwings at all this year. I’m just surprised nothing has turned up in all the recent fine weather.

Spotted a new dragonfly in the native plants today! We were visited by an autumn meadowhawk. So far we’ve seen damselflies, a green darner, and a couple of amber clearwings hunting on our property.
