The solution was to look at what they were doing.

That was too scary, so they just pumped the gas and hoped that cliffedge wasnt real.

If only the Tories had as much concern for families on the minimum wage cliffedge as they obviously do for those on the £100,000 cliffedge

Yeah though in fairness that's partly because people close to the cliffedge tend to negotiate other benefits instead, and it's also a key group in areas they do not need to win back.

Sometimes I take books that I am enjoying reading out for a bit of a day trip - I don't think it's fair or right that they spend most their time looking up the dark cavities that are my nostrils.

Here's Daniel Quinn's Ishmael overlooking the Atlantic Ocean […]

Not all Jews are Zionists. A lot are decent conscientious folk. Look if bloody stupid MAGA could give us a sexpest, narcissistic nut. Israel could end up with a guy like Netanyahu who faces jail if he loses power. The behaviour of both men is frankly psychotic & not normal in a world on a cliffedge.

Nearly as numpty as clactonites
🇪🇺 Jayne Kirkham MP: "Almost everywhere you go in Cornwall, you'll see a distinctive but far too small blue sign signifying that a building or something was funded by the EU."

"It was transformational for us. The Leave campaign promised Cornwall would not be worse off. That has fallen short."

It seems very silly that there is no BTEC L3 equivalent to an A Level grade B. It creates a significant cliffedge and places BTEC students at a disadvantage.

Now due to lack of free movement, and long-feared demographic cliffedge of aging workers actually falling out of workforce. But at same time parts of industry are slowing and general unemployment rising, means it’s not clear cut that accelerated projects would struggle for labour

Just as I think the orthodoxy that scrapping the £100k cliffedge would cost money doesn't pass the sniff test and we would see increased tax receipts, I am just very dubious of the orthodoxy on stamp duty.

Yeah. My most Lawsonian belief is that I really strongly believe that the £100k cliffedge hits revenue and growth far more than HMT/OBR believe.
