In case of #AI171, co-pilot #CliveKunder was the "Pilot Flying" which means that he would have had both his hands on the Yoke (steering) for the Takeoff.
The Captain was the Pilot Monitoring so his hands would have to be on the Throttle - right next to the Fuel switch.
