Not only just for books but most libraries have movies, games, crafting tools, and full online library through Libby or CloudLibrary.
If you don’t have a local library card, it should be your New Year’s resolution to get one. It’s an easy resolution to keep and you’ll actually use it, trust me.

In case you didn't know and a disengenous pirate tries to argue that libraries are the same thing as pirating, authors get paid when you use the library. Libby, Hoopla, cloudlibrary, borrowbox, or physical books! We get paid! Usually pretty well comparatively speaking!

Libraries pay authors. When a library buys a book, the author gets paid. Authors love libraries. Some of my largest royalty checks come from Overdrive and Hoopla. I get paid per checkout on Hoopla and Overdrive usually pays 3 or 4 times retail price.

I'm mad as hell that I'll be losing the other library distributors, like CloudLibrary and Hoopla. Especially because my own system uses CloudLibrary. But I'm not giving D2D any of their blood money. I'll just upload direct from now on.

7. Hoopla / Borrow Box / CloudLibrary. You probably already know about Libby and get disgruntled by having to wait months for a new release. But many libraries have secondary contracts with other providers. Hoopla, for example, allows you a certain number of "instant borrows" per month w/o wait.
