I’m on Cloudisland and I really like it. Moved from Mastodon.NZ when the drama with the mods happened.

I found the vibe here similar to Cloudisland initially, but it’s changed a bit since the recent kiwi exodus from twitter.

CloudIsland is fantastically well run and moderated if you are looking for an Aotearoa-based instance.

I joined bluesky like a month ago from Tumblr, and the vibecoding of the app here, and strangely similar practices towards trans women, does make me interested in getting off of American hosted stuff. euro is good, would hop to cloudisland if I had the money to support them and myself

Mastodon.nz and other local Fediverse instances like CloudIsland are also glimmers of social media hope, even if they're island size in terms of numbers.

I’ve resorted to mastodon.social for the business as CloudIsland.nz is not for commercial content (it’s where my personal account resides). I’d love a dedicated instance run by the admin of CloudIsland for Kererū, but that’s not cost effective for me just yet. I’d love to find a NZ instance though.

I'm running Mastodon for Android. I find the 'live' feed a bit sparse but the 'home' too busy. I'd like other nz servers to show up in live for example cloudisland. Any idea how to achieve this or if one of the other apps does it simply?
