BlueSky really does seem to better reflect the US electorate. Almost like its full of people who want to hang out and talk and shitpost rather than bots and clout chasers.
Amusing how if you read X, Facebook, most of NYTimes and The Atlantic, all of The Argument, and so forth, yesterday was a huge surprise and you have to reset everything from the past two years.

I do think the fact that there’s nothing online clout could do to change my life for the better, employment-wise - and that my wife’s reaction to my bluesky account is good natured eye rolling - helps me stay somewhat grounded
To say something serious and not tongue-in-cheekily annoying about the "oh wow Bluesky is relevant" piece, I do think it's a function of the fact that for as much as we goof on this website's userbase, a larger proportion of Big Posters here are relatively normal people with relatively normal jobs.
