Clearmind Medicine (CMND) announced publication in Japan of a patent application covering its 3-MMC-based approach to treating dyskinesia, a neurological movement disorder. The application covers preventing, treating or reducing dyskinesia symptoms, including pharmaceutical compositions containing 3-MMC. It also includes claims for combinations with N-acylethanolamines, notably Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA). Dyskinesia is characterized by involuntary movements. The applications form part of Clearmind’s ongoing collaboration with NeuroThera Labs, which integrates PEA technology into Clearmind’s psychedelic-derived therapeutic programs.

Clearmind Medicine (CMND) submitted recommendations to the FDA on patient access and potential future therapeutic use of psychedelic-derived, non-hallucinogenic compounds. The submission responds to FDA Docket No. FDA-2026-N-7542. Clearmind recommends guidance for self-administration and potential at-home therapies, streamlined regulatory pathways, broader clinical trial access and use of Breakthrough Designation. It also calls for research collaborations with VA, DoW and HHS for alcohol use disorder and other indications. The company says data from its Yale and Johns Hopkins trials suggest compounds designed to enhance brain adaptability without hallucinations may reduce the need for expensive supervised dosing. The submission follows its July response to an HHS information request and a September 14, 2026 briefing by its Chief of Global Impact to an FDA-convened federal panel.
