Ringforts, a fascinating monument wreathed in folklore. A number of these have been uncovered along the #FoynestoLimerickRoad, but Ballyclogh 4 is the first to be identified as a cashel. Who do you think lived here? How old do you think the site is? #medievalarchaeology #irisharchaeology #colimerick

Presenting: the Ballyclogh 4 cereal-drying kiln built up against the wall of the cashel. This is a relatively common type of agricultural features, found across the country. What do you think, who might have used this kiln? #foynestolimerickroad #archaeology #irisharchaeology #excavation #colimerick

Super Countrywide show abt the Maigue, the closest river frm the farm I grew up on & flowing through Croom, CoLimerick. I hope the efforts of locals will achieve results to restore water quality which has been decimated. Kerry Grp needs to significantly up their game.
The River Maigue

An RTÉ Countrywide rivers special about a waterway typical of so many. At risk of irreversible decline from pollution, while also hanging in the balance with many signs of regeneration.
