🧵 Even on the greyest, most overcast day, Ireland refuses to lose its colour

Mist saturates the landscape. Wet streets mirror the sky. Even the gloom seems to make every colour ring out louder

🧵 Parliament St., Dublin, at dusk has a feeling of magic for me. Colours glow, the familiar lights up & I enjoy my Celtic love of pattern & transformation.

I’ve always been drawn to these moments & that’s why colour & pattern are central to my work, as you can see in this thread [1]

Children look at the world as if it has just been invented.

That sense of wonder is something I try to keep in my colourful drawings. I’m still looking at the world with a little bit of a child’s astonishment.
