Horribly inaccurate map aside, technically British colonialism didn't start until the early 1600's under King James VI who was Scottish, so really you want to blame Scotland for colonization in America. African colonization didn't happen until the 1800's... so that's on Germany and the Windsors.

When I was first brainstorming I considered if he had been Spanish influenced (using rotation out of line) because of colonization by Spain of the Netherlands, but thought it might be characterful to have—
