Video timelapse!! I edited the photo of the sketchbook to make it only black first, and then set that layer as "reference" to be able to colordrop some of them hehe! But I actually ended up not using it loads haha, I love the lil imperfections of painting it "by hand".

Better look at the lineart brush!! I love this brush for pieces like this because it is definitely textured in the edges but is still super opaque, making the lineart bold AS WELL AS making it super easy to set the layer as "reference" in Procreate and filling in the colours with colordrop!

I'd say the quickmenu will save so much time because it's the only feature where you can add basically every function

It's mostly because I personally think "skintones" don't actually
exist, because skin in humans is a patchwork of so many types of splotches that even if you colordrop an image or swatch, you can get the uncanny valley effect simply from lacking harmony from the rest of the image.

Now the actual coloring, I mostly go with the ColorDrop. I use my Apple Pencil to go to the top right color, where the current color is shown, to click and drag it. When the ColorDrop bar shows, you're now in that mode. Also color at the pencil tips moves around, it helps with visability.

Details: make an ink-lines layer over the initial sketch (like I always had been), duplicate it, and use Procreate's ColorDrop thing to just lay down big flat areas of color. There's an option there that just turns a single tap into "fill this with the same color too".
