#colour-grading
Honestly, sitting and watching TFTM in it's BEST form - scrolling intro, narrated outro and the darker colour grading. It can't be matched. Well unless you see the Maggie Thatcher cut, but only Gav has that.

I didn't check but I could tell also purely based on the nail polish and colour grading lmfaooooo

Wicked City rewatch is on the docket soon!

More like pissmass trip, with that colour grading.

Actually the fun part for me is that I regularly go Germany-Poland and no one ever even looks at my ID. You barely feel you're changing countries (except for the grayscale colour grading you get when you enter Poland)

Avengers Encore was a waste of time, don’t bother.
38 seconds of extra scenes and new colour grading was not worth 2400yen. 😩

When I release my acclaimed excavation of my childhood, you can bet the audience will be sitting through clearing scratch disks and the frustrations of waiting for your colour grading to render!

Having a look at the official DaVinci Resolve colour grading training and the way it looks is not filling me with confidence.

The colour grading 😍

whoa, colour grading is good in these!

I’m really glad Slow Horses is back but I would like a word with whomever is colour grading the photography because it is shooting for style over substance and missing both

#AvengersEndgameEncore was a delight! At the same theatre I saw the film 7 years ago, I felt that amazing nostalgic feel. The film stands as my favourite MCU movie & is incredible in every way. The fixed colour grading gave the film new life & the Doomsday scenes were exciting. I Love It 3000!

Actually managed to do some research yesterday.

Still looking at two different things. One visual, one audio.

Creative decision to go black and white with the video as it fits with the noir-ish tone of the semi-formed plot (also, no colour grading!)

photography and score is gorgeous, very sweeping at times (I do wish the colour grading was brighter though which is an extremely pervasive issue I have with a lot of contemporary cinema).

George Mackay fantastic as Edward Ferrars btw. The yearning and chemistry between Elinor and Edward is brill.

Gawd above. I think it was Taskmaster that leapt into the awful colour grading pool quite recently, but only for location stuff. First episode, Joel Dommet strode onto to do his task and his eyeballs and teeth were almost pure cyan.

Not sure when colour grading turned from being ‘the best it could possibly look’ to ‘how can we make this look different and new’. I suspect it’s when TV and film switched from analogue and colours could became easily tweaked.

Teal had overstated its welcome though.

this show came out recently and they still use yellow colour grading to depict mexico . i don’t watch many things but i didn’t know we’re still doing this

Not with today's colour grading they're not.

I managed to get a showing of The Avengers: Endgame again in theatres. Aside from the colour grading being upped and a few line changes, it was basically untouched until the last minute or two of the final scene. Also, the mid and end-credits scenes were fine, nothing special.

whoever's doing campaign material for the municipal elections for a certain party, your candidate looks tomato red on a video, you should fix your colour grading

A fair few people have made a "fan cut" of all three films into one.

At least one improved the colour grading and lighting too.

By the way “Infinity Vision” is not a format! It’s a fake exhibition certificate to create a pretext for charging a higher admission price. They boosted the contrast and saturated the colour, that’s it! And I’m sure it was done by AI and not actual colour grading guys too

Legal documents I'd believe, colour grading I wouldn't, because grading is a taste call and 3x implies they've measured taste. For that to hold the model would need a reference grade the client already agreed to, and then it's matching.

All great choices, I was not long talking about how Cundey practically pioneered 80s and 90s grain and colour grading, but it all started with Halloween in 1978, especially Michael Myers appearing in the shadows behind Laurie.

Someone’s fucked with the colour grading on this version I’m watching and it’s annoying the fuck out of me.
