the iced coffee trending topic is kinda sily to me because an interview is not just that company judging you but you judging if this company is worth your time. You are interviewing that company too. Few comapnies deserve your time and energy.

It's Brexit that made comapnies not want to invest in the UK.

Fascists support eugenics, antivax pseudo science, capitalism, historical revisionism, climate denialism,

And AI.

Maybe it's bad for us and the only reason AI comapnies have influence is because of massive wealth deciding that it's a perfect tool to fire as many workers as possible.

Even then, Bush did what he could to ensure only US companies got selected to help with rebuilding Iraq, cutting British comapnies out altogether.

I will end my 6 year old account on discord without a second thought. I already walked away from Google, Meta and Twitter. I find it really easy to walk away from comapnies now (doing so, never once changed the price of beer)

It's something I kinda gleaned over the years after many many interviews lol. Those comapnies are looking for a candidate they can work with, but I'm also judging them right back to check if this is a sustainable relationship lmao. Interviews are both ways.

Do you like gridlock?

If so, you'll love the world of personally owned AVs that car and tech comapnies envision.

Me, in @bloomberg.com (gift link)
The AV Future Might Not Be Shared
Right now, self-driving cars are used only for shared fleets of autonomous robotaxis. What happens when anyone can buy their own?

Putin has 6-12 months before he completely crushes the economy and runs out of money.

This time the American comapnies wont be there to increase the GDP for Russia. No men left to work or fight.

They cant repopulate

1. Ending franchises is a decent thing but they will still be reliant on rolling stock comapnies that take billions so it's pseudo renationalisation at best (And given they are welcoming private healthcare into the NHS this can hardly be considered a govenment against profiteering)

It's remarkable how prices change when you only have three (3) meat-packing comapnies! If you live in a feisty but rural area and have your own cattle, these prices are way... lower.

Trump is taking 10% stock ownership of comapnies

I love how the response to 'insurance rates are going up' is 'they must be tracking us', and not like, all the extra money insurance comapnies are paying out due to people driving faster in larger and larger vehicles and crashing into shit because they're on their phones.

I really don't think most of the terminally online folks calling for this shit realize that these comapnies employ people.
September 18, 2025 at 2:25 AM
If you can afford to stock up, do it now. Even items made entirely in the US will go up with the comapnies blaming "tariffs" as the culprit when it's the same kind of profit margin gauging we saw after covid.

Tariffs are inflationary by nature. Expect prices to double or triple soon.

That's also not going into the obvious fact that comapnies are generally aren't dumb despite the people runing the show are not the sharpest tool in the shed.
