Also extremely pleased with the Combaticons. Deco versions aside, they're all pretty damn great. You can tell there's some evolution between them and the Technobots, similar engineering with some tweaks and improvements, but nothing that's going to sour the experience.

they're outright the combaticons. the pieces are Vortexer, Blaster, Brawler, Swindler, and Onslaughter who combine into Brute Justice. it's super blatant

I don't even have fighter jet Blastoff anymore because it was incredibly upsetting and we eventually did get space shuttle Blastoff for that set of Combaticons. So as soon as I could replace him, I did.

Starscream's Brigade is a great G1 episode, *mostly* because it's a fun introduction to the best combiner team (the Combaticons, duhh), but also because it establishes that prison for Decepticons is "a filing cabinet containing your mortal fucking soul". Like absolutely wild lore drop out of nowhere

I find it very amusing how only 2 of the Combaticons are road legal vehicles
So day to day, while blending in and not causing trouble (a rare occurrence, but still)
Brawl is going to be carried by Onslaught, while Vortex and Blast-Off are in the air
Leaving just Onslaught and Swindle on the road

The ankles are SUCH a plus!! And funnily enough I did get all the components, too! I found Swindle last because a scalper hid him under the bottom shelf in Target.
You can ask me anything about the team if you're curious! It's likely they'll all get a Takara-Tomy box set together like Menasor did!

As I've not picked up any of the Combaticons, the Red/BLue shuttle appeals more to me. I just don't know anything about the character - I'm just thinking that if I pick it up I won't feel like I have to buy a ton of other figures to really enjoy it... and then never get the full set... again... :/
