Cropped image of the first panel of my upcoming web comic; Sacred Bond. We see a Greek hoplite, dressed in red armor, a bronze helmet and carrying his spear and shield, standing underneath a large oak tree. He looks out over a valley upon which he can see a camp of his fellow hoplites stretching out over the ground. There are campfires burning, men training with each other, and men on horseback. Above it all hangs a sunny blue sky with clouds.

Here we have the latest update on the first page of my first comic. The main figure in the foreground, a Greek hoplite sentry, is mostly complete. The background, a rolling mountain landscape with a camp in the distance, is inked and ready to be colored in. The text boxes read "Boeotia, Greece. 479 BCE. 'The Dancing Floor of Ares.'"
