- The "tapping the empty navigation corners to get the hovertext" may have been a ComicPress-specific functionality! Currently you can get the hovertext by tapping and holding on the comic.

A basic webcomic website is the easiest thing in the world to make with a webcomic plugin. I have used ComicPress and Toocheke.
Both are fairly simple to figure out and WordPress installs the whole thing for you.
I get my hosting through Bluehost, but there's a lot of options out there that vary.

This might be a godsend! I remember trying WordPress/ComicPress for my fan comics. It was a PAIN! Made me give up making a site for my comics altogether. If this project works out, I'd love to use it for my comics. I think it might be worth checking out!

I think most webcomic artists back in the day just used the Comicpress plugin for Wordpress.

of course, they weren't required to release or maintain ComicControl, but comic management systems have a long history of being released and then abandoned (see: Comicpress, Grawlix, etc.)

So if you were already following me and were wondering what I have been up to for the past several months, the answer is upscaling our entire archive, finishing up an ebook and re-learning css/HTML as I prepare to switch from comicpress to toocheke. I promise I am not dead!

Blugh, I think ComicPress is finally past usability. I can't access half the settings any more and it hasn't been updated in like seven or eight years. Time to move on, I guess
