I remember inking this while watching Hellboy (2019) and Guillermo del Toro's Hellboy (2004) last year when I was on my Mignola high at the time. The idea came from a day of browsing around Comic Book Plus Looking at Comics by Dan Gordon (animator and character designer for various Hanna-Barbera Productions). The temptation to do artworks that reflected social media platforms during a bygone time of print became too strong for me to ignore. I can't remember as to why I created this variation, but I do remember that I was getting a bit frustrated about how the website was run at the time. This was sorta my "anarchist" variation that I figured would make for great graphic art for various forms of apparel at some point whenever I get around to print them. Despite my pestering procrastination, this became a fun addition to my graphic design portfolio. Funny enough, I did this "I Hate Twitter" variant (on the right) the very week they made Twitter into "X" before knowing about it lol

I originally came up with this really dumb joke while I had some down time at my job that I had to immediately sketch down. I was hyperfixated on the original 1950s EC Comics published Mad Magazine artists around the time along with revisiting an archive collection I owned. The collection featured some of my favorite artists from the company such as Will Elder, Jack Davis and Wally Wood. The guiding hand of these MAD artists somewhat compelled me to try out my own skills at doing caricatures. What better way to practice that than to add-on to another idea I had with making a collection of social media inspired prints than to include this satirical bite into it. Going with that spirit, I decided to take a few cues from some of the trading and gift cards Davis and Wood had cooked up during the time of the '60s and '70s to give this a much more aged look to it. My mindset of "if I were among these greats of the pre-code comic industry" echoed through my head as I slammed this down. (An oddly inspirational mantra xD)
