Yeah, it is different.
But there is a continuity, seen from our perspective. The behavior is the same:

Just wanting "good parts" (and wanting to "lead") without sharing the burdens. (Just like Chancellor Gordon Brown on the Euro, or PM Margaret Thatcher on the Communitisation of agricultural policy

It is quite surprising to see the “French dominant elites” narrative developed by Flemish nationalists being used to denounce the communitisation of culture, which has been, since Vermeylen and Frans Van Causelaert an essential part of the Flemish movement objective.
