an infographic of sorts, in the style of the dragon age: the veilguard menu screens. it displays basic background information on evariste as if he were a companion in the game. He is a human Shadow Dragon mage, who specializes in elemental spellcasting. a two paragraph description follows: Evariste is a war mage and a mechanical tinkerer. Once a commander for the Imperial Army, as part of the elite Ferryman's Regiment, he's spent the last six years as a Shadow Dragon Agent. His combat focus is fire and artillery, and his military background combines warrior traits with spellcasting.Additionally, he gives the party an advantage against all constructs, like Sentinels, Blood Forge, and the Bone Golem. He is voiced by JB Blanc (Vander, Arcane) another infographic, with an illustration of Dock Town in the background, and a stylized sheet of dark brown parchment laid on top, with a dragon graffito in the corner. text reads: Rook recruits Evariste after the eluvian has been repaired. When the party encounters Sentinels, Bellara explains that the Veil Jumpers have yet to determine if the constructs can be turned into allies. Neve mentions a friend in the Shadow Dragons who is an expert on magical constructs. He's working on countermeasures for Venatori devices. His ideas could be useful in bringing the Sentinels around. And, Neve says, it can't hurt to have a veteran war mage on their team. Rook travels to a remote cave along the Spillway, where they find Evariste engaged in battle with a prototype Blood Forge. After Rook destroys the construct, Evariste thanks them but says their ‘help’ may have set him back weeks. He had been testing his countermeasures on the only working construct that the Shadows had been lucky enough to steal. He's not angry with Rook, just disappointed. Neve makes introductions, and Rook asks Evariste to join the team, being very clear about what they're up against. They sweeten the deal by offering a disabled Sentinel to Evariste as compensation for the damaged Blood Forge. Intrigued by the challenge, and moved by their mission, Evariste agrees. below this is a screenshot of a pensive Evariste in profile, with a notification graphic that says "Recruiting Evariste has unlocked the Bathhouse. Return to the Lighthouse to explore it." An infographic showing the many spells, skills, and abiltiies that Evariste can use during gameplay combat. They are fire-based spells with an emphasis on disruption. There is also a description of the companion skill that Rook can use with the lyrium dagger. Helping Hand: Years of tinkering allow Evariste to direct any nearby constructs to break walls and unlock doors.
