If you permit an opinion, I would guess that US weapons are more sophisticated, though that is not necessarily an advantage for an adversary primarily targeting civilians and infrastructure. Also, Russian oligarchs are more limited in feeding off weapons business than US military-industrial-complex.

A thing I've really liked about FF14 is thats its has pretty complex villans without ever going down the of presenting them as forces opposing the status quo the heroes are defending. You are always a revolutionary force and the villains are always power structures defending their own self interest.

I don't know how to make it any clearer that you can be relieved to see the worst of the worst power wielders defeated AND ALSO understand that there's still work to be done and accountability and scrutiny don't magically disappear. At the same time. Wow it's like life is complex or something.
