It's kinda like jazz, for me. Making all kinds of free form associations between colours. Substituting all the cool colors in a piece with blue, or intentionally using complimentarycolours to create unease. Don't be literal!

(iPhone camera)
The drama of a sunset on Polzeath Beach. A huge deep mauve cloud covers the top right corner of the frame with deep shadowed brown beach in the bottom half. Headland silhouetted against the bright yellow of the sun as it sets, with pink clouds and the sunset reflected in the water. Stunning. Taken after a run along the headland.

Gingko really has the coolest leaf #growth.

A macro photo of a single branch on a small gingko tree sprouting new foliage. The branch runs diagonally front the bottom left corner to the top right corner of the frame. There are five buds which have burst open revealing clusters the tree's unique ruffled leaves. The blurred background consists almost entirely of red Japanese maple leaves.

Just a super fluffy lil' foxy dude I doodled in my sketchbook back in August with a splash of digital colour. I hope you guys enjoy him as much as I do 🥹

Traditional brush pen drawing of a fox surrounded by hearts. The image has been coloured digitally using a complimentary colour pallet of rich blues and oranges. The fox has been stylised and has been drawn to be extremely fluffy with a long tail. Traditional brush pen drawing of a fox surrounded by hearts.
