East SD has a fuckton of oilfields and not a whole lot of other economic activity, resulting in an electorate composted largely of oilfield guys

I have never eaten one, because I always assumed it was molded from some disgusting display of composted meat.

Thank you to everyone who has plopped their pumpkin! After two days we have already collected 3,600 pounds of pumpkins to be composted. The collection at our recycling drop-off center runs until Nov 15.

Nice afternoon pottering in the garden. Lifted half the dahlias and composted the tomatoes, jurt a few green ones left. Almost November and The Lady Gardener rose and Salvia Amistad are still going, in fact lol better than they did in July.

We've composted ours. The Trick and Treaters, not the sweets.

Don’t forget to bring your pumpkins to one of these sites so they can be composted instead of rotting away in the landfill.
More than 1 billion pounds of pumpkins go to U.S. landfills each year—creating powerful greenhouse gasses that accelerate climate change. Help reduce that number by bringing your pumpkins to one of our FREE collection sites instead of tossing them in the trash.

My aunt was composted

My garbage collection comes every Tuesday morning.

The fun part this week was tossing the moldy orange pumpkins into the yard waste to be composted into mulch.

Seems like a good omen, no?

This morning I composted, hit the farmers market, renewed my library card, placed a hold on a banned book, did yoga, told my therapist about it, tipped 20%, reapplied sunscreen, took the bike lane, used the crosswalk, trusted the weather forecast,

Yes... there have been for over 20 years packing peanuts [sorta shaped] that are cellulose. Yes, people just throw them out, but they can be composted or put outside and sprayed with a hose and they'll melt away...

The food looks depressing and the diners look … pasty. Hoping the Truss lettuce was composted and at least produced something
Outstanding timing. Liz Truss tweeting from Mar-a-Lago on the very night Trump and the MAGA imploded.

I wonder if they had cheesecake for desert.

We roasted the pumpkin seeds which was tasty! But yes we end up with so much waste and most of it just gets thrown away instead of responsibly composted or recycled 😞

Promised schwag from government in action: compostable leaf bags, available at six County facilities while supplies last. Take 15 max. Plastic bags containing organics can't be composted and won't be collected at the curb. www.arlingtonva.us/Government/P...

Think they mean those padded envelopes with like bubble wrap bonded to the inside of the envelope. Still plastic, but bamboo plastic works just as well and is biodegradable--that's what we need to push for. If it can't be composted, it shouldn't be used!

Richmond wants your Halloween pumpkins. Here’s why.
Drop off your pumpkin at one of two locations in the city, and it will be either composted or sent to a pig farm.

Bring your pumpkins to one of the city’s Waste and Reuse Convenience Centers to be composted. Never throw them in the trash.

support the complex microscopic food-web in your soil with the composted remains of the rich and enjoy the plants that grow from it

1st November garden update: cleaned up most of the leaves, weeded/composted the planters and moved the second cherry tree.

Looks like we've also managed to get an ash tree growing deep in the soil. I don't know what to do with it.

Don't mind the fake grass, not decided what to do with it yet. 🍂

Be a weed lover not a killer. Weeds are an important part of the #garden #ecosystem. Some attract pollinators, others improve the soil, most can be composted.📢 Don't forget to sign & share our #petition to ban #glyphosate in parks, playgrounds & #gardens👉 gardenorganic.org.uk/glyphosate-petition.
