Starting as soon as September, a squad of 10 to 12 trained professionals bound by state regulations will descend on Catalina to hunt the deer with rifles.

Back at KIlsby Lane LWS today to finish the 350m path that bisects the field. Multi purpose to act as a reference for compartmenrts,help us get around ,manage a swathe of grassland that's onnected together and some scrub too. Looking forward t walking our paths in warmer weather . #comservation
Widening a deer track Cutting down ne side and back up the other to row the arisings up . Trying to make it a bit easier for the rakers up. A bit scrubby here but we can find a way through. And we did!! Nearly at the botton by the brook. It took us 2 sessions to vut the 350 metre path don the middle of the fild. Tough going but satisfying.

“Bobby” - Tailless Whip Spider (aka amblypygid) will be joining me for my Girl Scout Bug Badge show tomorrow.

They are fast w/barbed pedipalps, but shy and harmless to humans.

As creepy animals often do, they are portrayed as dangerous in entertainment.

Conservation volunteering in a cemetery with #TCV. Lots of clearing & tidying and some daffodils sprouting. I do love an old cemetery. I always tell my son there is nothing to be scared of, it’s the living that we have to watch out for. #volunteering #comservation
