A patch of different coloured coneflowers. The typical deep pink variety stand alongside yellow and rust-coloured flowers. A few daisies are in the bottom right of the picture. It’s a beautiful world, all we have to do is stop and notice what is in front of us. Life isn’t always full of beautiful flowers, but there is always something miraculous for us to recognize and appreciate. Look for something amazing today, declare it! You’ll then notice it.

This is one end of a berm I made ( not quite 10 M ) next to the street , colorful for many months for passersby. Mums. Coneflowers. Gallardia. Asters. Tickweed - and a variety of non-perrenial plants as well. Home to many a pollinator throughout the warm months ; their tiny eyes see all the color. Soon it will all be gone for a winter rest.

Crazy warm autumn in the US mid-Atlantic. My coneflowers, blanket flowers, guara, plumbago, salvia, and other pollinator plants continue to bloom. In November!

As a result, I’ve still got (slow) bees and other insects. Goldfinches have already headed south. Juncos arrived today.

Yellow wildflowers are ubiquitous in Iowa. They're all remarkably similar & most are members of the Asteraceae family.

An ID app suggests this is cutleaf coneflower (Rudbeckia laciniata), a new species for me. It looks a lot like wingstem (Verbesina alternifolia), imo.
