It's ironic that the major genuine problem with American cities - they are so desirable to live in that, absent large amounts of new consturction, the housing costs are unaffordable - is basically the one critique conservatives do not make. bsky.app/profile/shor...
If it makes them feel better, we do get punished, just not violently, by housing prices / rent compared to the ‘burbs
most conservatives have a strong suspicion that the sterile exurban communities they've chosen to live in suck and America's cities are full of people doing fun, exciting and sexy stuff, so there's naturally an enormous appetite among them for stories about city dwellers being violently punished

The consturction of the REM stations for the Northern and Western segments are almost completely finished.
At this rate, and with train tests already taking place, I don't doubt those segments will be put in service by the end of the year.

Oh, just wait till your projects get so big they take weeks to complete, and this is only at mid-game projects. Late game projects feel like full-blown constrution project that needs constuction plans, management to organize not just supplies, but to think through consturction operations, etc.

Agreed: I presume it's the multiplcation of set consturction, wardrobe and make-up where the cost lies, but it's such a shame. Imagine having had no Not the Nine O'Clock News or Fry and Laurie or Fast Show or Python.

I do not feel an ounce of sympathy for employers (farmers, meat packing, consturction) that build their wealth on the hard work of others - often with poor pay/benefits - who wouldn't even fight for them before. Now that their business is in trouble 'woa is me".
