it's a delicate balance. controliq needs the dexcom transmitter to be within range so it can get glucometer readings on the fly and adjust insulin delivery as needed. but it spends more time throwing "out of range of transmitter" errors than it does actually correcting my blood sugar

controlIQ is currently giving me a 0.014u bolus because apparently that small of insulin is going to make a measurable change in my blood sugar

I've found the hardest part of being high and dropping is the over-correction even by ControlIQ sometimes where I'll go roller coaster after an extended high

This is the bullshit #Tandem’s #controliq does to someone with unpredictable #gastroparesis. FWIW I started eating when my BG was 93.

FWIW, I’m on anti clotting meds and find if there is even the tiniest amount of blood on insertion, I get crazy low readings for the first 6-12 hrs. Have learned to test regularly and turn off ControlIQ and rely on finger sticks during that initial period if necessary. #T1D

Ok, so I've just checked and having used #ControlIQ with my #TSlimX2 for about 24 hours for those hours I have a time in range of 97% and a time in tight range of 83%. I don't have to pre-bolus so much as well. Time in happiness off the charts!#GBDoc #DiabetesChat #T1D #dedoc

No just moving onto #DexcomG7 to use #ControlIQ with my #TSlimX2 insulin pump. Only ever used Libre so interesting to do a head to head with a sensor.

The 780G algo is the first one from MedT that I’d even consider if I had to go back to a commercial system. The 670G was outclassed by DIY solutions before it was even approved. I know OP5 would over-basal me. ControlIQ would still be my first choice if forced to go commercial, though.

TODAY’S MOOD: I HATE TANDEM’S TARGET BG FOR CONTROL IQ…I do much better in my 120s and 130s yet here I am dying again bc ControlIQ is on and overshot to get me to 110. Bc I get reallllll sensitive when I’m already 130 and have units being delivered still!!!! WHY TF IS 110 UNIVERSAL!?
