Pam Bondi's hardass fash gimmick is not very convicting

The solution is impeaching and convicting Trump, not building a $400M ballroom.

i bet convicting a member of the aristocracy via citizen's tribunal felt good as hell for the citizens

Convicting someone for murder. Typical leftist cancel culture.

this is unsustainably bananas and not impeaching and convicting these crooks grows ever more irresponsible and unpatriotic by the hour
Trump posts that he’s “Acting President of Venezuela”

I thought impeaching Trump and convicting him in the Senate was a pipe dream.

Not anymore. https://robertreich.substack.com/p/how-to-impeach-the-bastard-for-real

They successfully proved you can indict a ham sandwich.

Convicting one is another matter.

Good luck convicting. This sounds like intimidation

This isn’t about convicting Don Lemon. It’s unlikely that will happen. It’s about intimidating journalists & making them censure themselves out of fear of consequences. It’s about eroding the free press because the administration can’t afford the criticism.
This just in: "Don Lemon was taken into custody by federal agents last night in Los Angeles, where he was covering the Grammy awards," Lemon's attorney Abbe Lowell says.

Let's feel good. This is the latest in a string of victories against fascism around the globe. I'm thinking of Koreans thwarting the autogolpe and convicting Yoon Suk Yeol, and Brazilians convicting Bolsonaro. And in the US, we are very well positioned for November midterms.
I do not regret to inform you that we are going to win
It's not just that Orbán losing inspires hope in other competitive-autocratic countries ruled by right-wing nationalist authoritarians. It's that his loss materially changes things in those other countries, because he's been operating as a headquarters and funding source...

this dog lives her life like she’s steve
mcqueen in the great escape. found her chasing a rabbit half a mile down the road thanks to the (absolutely necessary) gps device on her collar.

In lieu of thanksgiving I suggest holding a sort of family court convicting your most annoying relatives of various offenses

They're not swiftly and easily convicting me on 34 counts of oafishly illegal business fuckery that got bumped up to a felony because it was done to aid my political ambitions. They're convicting YOU of that. And I'm just standing in the way.

Dear Jake Tapper,

No, the original sin was JANUARY 6 — and not convicting Trump immediately after.

Anything else is fake outrage to gin up ratings and book sales.

Very funny to try to attack Smith by making him out to be, like, a superhero that travels the world convicting corrupt presidents
Sen. Schmitt: “You fled to The Hague and prosecuted the president of Kosovo in 2020?”

Smith: “Yes, and he was just convicted of over 300 acts of torture and 96 murders.”

Sen. Schmitt: “And then you got a chance to come back to get Trump. Is that right?”

Smith: “That’s not right at all.”

Example: convicting Derek Chauvin and doing nothing else about racist policing.

The time to stop Trump was at the 2016 RNC. Or when he made clear he was willing to collude with Russian criminals. Or by convicting him at the first impeachment. Or convicting him at the second impeachment. Or corporate media covering him with courage, making a November election win impossible.

I spoke with Mitch McConnell today for about 20 min. He apologized for not convicting Trump for January 6th and said that Lindsey Graham is a sissy who is too scared to bring Russian sanctions forward despite promising it for a year.

It was a pleasant conversation

The United States government under Trump by all accounts is shipping these people into indefinite involuntary servitude in El Salvador without even the pretense of any judicial process, much less duly convicting them of a crime. It’s an enslaving operation.

Don't forget universities pressing charges on their own students in hopes of convicting them with felonies.
The obvious answer here is that the student protest movement was broadly smeared as anti-semitic and aligned with terrorists, and a variety of institutions from government, media and the universities acted as if that smear was true, threatening, suspending, expelling and even deporting students.
As President Donald Trump’s unauthorized war on Iran with Israel entered into its second month, some Democratic officials were looking around and wondering: Where are the anti-war protests this time around? And why are college campuses so quiet?

@lauren-egan.bsky.social takes a look.

You haven't had credibility for quite some time. Electing Trump for a second time, letting him run again and not convicting him for Jan 6 just a few examples.
