An interesting note on my property is that the lanternflies are congregating heavily on Amur corktree, which has colonized the woods on my property pretty badly. (But they may be getting outcompeted by tulip poplar)

Kind of an out and about day for me and have decided to really dissect the guitar tones on From Under The Corktree. Turns out Pat Stump was using a Krank amp on this record? Remember Krank amps?
"Sugar We're Goin Down" is so interesting to me because it was such a gigantic hit but it's also low-key the heaviest song that's ever been played on top 40 radio. Those chugs are outright detrimental and they were playing that song at school dances

For me, it’s Corktree that slips me up. The amount of times I want to guess a song is our lawyer is made us change the name of this song so we wouldn’t get sued. It is amazing that I’m still finding out I’ve gotten lyrics wrong cause what do you mean?

Tbh I’ve listened to very little past corktree, tho I own a couple later albums.
Not that it’s bad music or anything! There’s just a box in my brain where things I was into as a teen go and everything else kinda falls off.
Although, there’re also the tragic stories of .moneen. and MuteMath.
