An amazing lecture by José Torero, fire engineer and head of department at UCL, on cost and carbon optimization and the problem of fire. His argument is that the risk of fire has largely been solved, and the task of fire engineering now is optimization. A must-watch for anybody interested in codes
there are even plenty of ways to expedite the free time grind if you don't find it compelling, albeit at the cost of unit optimization. though personally i am really enjoying that aspect lol
