Yeah it’s a loanword, that’s fine but it isn’t especially Welsh. You’ll hear it used in a similar sense as cotch in Birmingham and Bristol (that ch sound doesn’t exist in Cymraeg)

Ui voilà elle a acheté la carte, elle a écrit les petits mots dictés par Marie-Framboise, elle a mis le cotch comme MF elle a dit, elle a plus qu'a aller poster avec ses pouces opposables, c'est pourtant pas compliqué, MFB elle l'aurait bien fait tousseule mais elle pouvait pas elle était occupée
