#couplers
Another ebay purchase I upgraded with my scale couplers and air hoses.
Trucks alone were worth the price.

Okay but remember what that takes from us

Picked up a set of N-Possible couplers, which are true-to-scale couplers in N Scale and installed them on some Intermountain hoppers and it really does show how HUGE traditional N Scale couplers are when comparing.

Weathered a Roundhouse reefer along with my usual modifications of scalehead couplers and airhoses.

SRTE 5 is nearly complete, just waiting for couplers, a bell and traction motors to arrive.

I got some new piping couplers, bags and tips and omggggg- world of difference from my cruddy wilton ones- no links and the plastic bags felt so much easier to use, couplers were more stable as well!

A short goods train hauled tender first by my 18" Cauliflower.

Getting my British stuff setup takes time with all the scale couplers needing manual coupling.

It is! There's a "language" you need to learn, how running gear (wheels and couplers) work, and standard details present in most equipment vary by world region and era, so knowing that helps a lot too.

Finished converting the Taki 1000 fleet to knuckle couplers. Looks great.

So some absolute unit made 3D printable "near-enough" Microtrains-like couplers that are drop-in replacements for Rapido couplers/coupler pockets and.. yeah. Yeah they work good. If you've got a printer and you're not in a hurry to do the more definite coupler swaps, this is a fix, for sure.

Railroad tracks and their couplers and de couplers. have to be absolutely positively failsafe. Can you imagine a computer chip doing that?

Laughs in PDP-11, Acoustic Phone Couplers, Tektronix, Paper Tape, and Punch Cards. 😁

Acoustic couplers is probably the only eletronics gear that conveys information using sound.

Transport ship! The drums rotate to provide access to specific containers. Also the big green tubes in the middle are power couplers that provide direct fusion drive power to both the front and back of the ship, allowing for thrusters fore and aft.

First modem i had was 1200bps, but the ones at work were 300 w/ acoustic couplers! The first and only time i saw my collaborator in Tokyo, he was wearing Groucho Marx glasses - the image was delivered by slowcan video which was line by line, taking 20 min to complete.
Fun times.

yes. for example many european freight couplers use shock absorbing buffers pressed together, with the connection held tight by a special screw link on the chain connecting the cars together; whereas american couplers are a knuckle shaped device that couples automatically.
