Really good to round off #CPC26 on Tuesday with a panel on men's health following the publication of the Men's Health Strategy.

Many of you will know I've been calling for a Minister for Men and Boys, so this was an opportunity to share an update on my work over the past few months.

Their "golden rule" says half of all savings must be used to pay down the deficit.

So £71bn of cuts buys at most £35.5bn of tax cuts.

That is £71bn of pain for £35.5bn of giveaways, and it assumes every single cut is delivered.

For the sake of all that is fucking holy, IHT is not taxed on wealth that "has been taxed already".

Will someone please push back in this utter ignorance!

"It's double taxation!"

Taxed on what?

Income tax hits what you earn; IHT hits what you're handed.

The heir paid £0 on the windfall. By that logic VAT on taxed wages and stamp duty on taxed savings are outrages too.
