If these rocks subsequently experience metamorphic folding, and then are weathered to produce a fine network of surface cracks, that's known as bat schist crazing.
Metal (or sedimentary) rocks. Did you know, bats roosting in caves, led to generational accumulations of fossilised bat remains. There are entire rocks, composed almost entirely of fossilized dead bat bodies.
