You might think it’s *inevitable* that kids will get sick, especially at school. We understand why you think that because it’s the #1 place kids pick up illness. But did you know it’s NOT inevitable?

If you're able to donate one or two purifiers to a classroom near you or have a chat with a teacher you know to explain the benefits, it might keep you or someone in your community from avoiding the next illness.

By all means–keep up the good hand hygiene. Huge kudos to the teachers helping kindergartners get in the habit of washing their hands after using the bathroom and before eating…and doing it for the full 20 seconds!

For typical classrooms, try to stay under 45 decibels so that the purifier doesn’t need to be turned off or down to a less effective setting. All of our purifiers are 45 dB or lower except the Brisk Box Ultra Black which is 48 dB.

You can also buy and donate or build and donate air purifiers that are quiet enough to work in classrooms. For gyms and cafeterias, you can get away with loud purifiers, so consider building CR boxes.

3 #CRbox filters in our house. A large one in the open area and two 10" ones. We have another hepa filter but honestly the CR with merv13 works great.

New #CRbox using 4Lite filters and Noctua fans.
Oh it's front heavy... Also ran into a few hiccups during production as issues I didn't forsee popped up and I had to re-work to make it fit.
Because NZ has nothing I'm still waiting for the PWM to DC adapter cables to arrive...

New #CRbox using 4Lite filters.
I miscalculated the extra width by 1-2mm for the worbla... As a result it's really tight to squeeze the filters in...
Waiting for the PWM to DC cable to arrive from Ali, and then to source a 12V DC power locally...
I forgot how long working with worbla takes...
New CR box with Noctua slim 120mm fans, 4Lite filters and worbla covered foam core end caps. Work in progress.

Five. That’s just the 1st floor.

It doesn’t count the Levoit 300 in the guest bedroom on floor one or the CRBox I made for the garage.

The first floor has the following #CRBox. However, it also has two Coway Airmega AP-1512HH as well. They are too noisy on high, so they run on medium. However, I'm pretty convinced that the CR box is doing the heavy lifting here. But since we spend more […]

Another of those Corsi-Rosenthal boxes, made with two 20x20x1 filters and two 10x20x1 filters and 8 PC fans. It's in a corner as opposed to out in the open, but that doesn't appear to be a problem. Two Temtop air monitoring devices. The one on the left shows a PM2.5 of 0.7, and an AQI of 2. The one on the right shows CO2 levels at 1436 ppm. Someone stick two eyeball stickers on the left air monitor. Because children.

A CR box made of two 20x20x1 inch air filters, and two 10x20x1. On top of the CR box, 8 black PC fans are zip-tied together. Zoomed in on a Temtop air quality monitor. The monitor shows PM2.5 of 0.8 ug/m3, and an AQI of 4.

Is it a NAS + self-hosted jellyfin/navidrome/etc? Is it a #CRBox? ¿Por qué no los dos?"
An ebay listing for a 9U open frame 4 post server rack with caster wheels. It's around $200, and the picture shows a racked 2U network switch inside of the server rack. There are dimensions listed on each side, showing a 19.7" height , 19.7" width, and a 21.7" depth - perfect for some standard 20x20 HVAC air filters and the box fan needed to turn it into a Corsi-Rosenthal Box.
