I am thrilled by this, but I still want House Judiciary to investigate how badly she ruined the CRD

A lesson for all of Canada. People don’t want higher utility bills and their water and electricity feeding the AI slop machine.

I’m working to ban them in the CRD.
A very tangible lesson for the Alberta NDP next year: go hard on data centres. Nobody wants them, and Smith has tied herself to them.
Absolutely wild list of results for data centre ballot measures in the US

"that's 28 measures across 25 localities, all opposing data centres" - EVERY SINGLE LOCALITY VOTED TO OPPOSE DATA CENTRES

WILD RESULTS + A CLIMATE WIN

The one really good thing about Dhillon is that she filled DOJ CRD with so many incompetent people that the amount of lasting damage she inflicted, although significant, was not nearly as bad as it could have been.

With Halloween over, the Capital Regional District (CRD) is reminding residents that candy wrappers and chip bags don't belong in household blue bins or garbage.

I love cycling in Victoria. Still too many gaps in the CRD as a whole, but I ride my bike so much more, now than even two years ago
This is why building out safe cycling & walking infrastructure is so important. When you give people safe, convenient, transportation options they get used. Even better, the city gets safer.

Auto travel has peaked, demand for affordable modes is increasing. "Good News from the 2022 CRD Travel Survey" (www.vtpi.org/CRDts.pdf) highlights these trends.

This is good news: local policies can create more affordable, inclusive, equitable and livable communities. What do you think?

It's kind of crazy how long it has taken for this CRD v. Tesla suit to get to trial. The agency used to be called the Dept. of Fair Employment & Housing when they filed their complaint in early 2022. calcivilrights.ca.gov/2022/02/10/d...

Your classic professional politician is “do something early in your career or at university, go away for a bit, consciously orient your career around being able to go back”. Not “be one of the handful of Spads who goes straight from uni to CRD or HQ to spad”.

Will the new head of CRD have to be confirmed?

I looked at the business behind $CRD-B (CRAWFORD & CO) for you. Based on financial data and reported results.

At what market price would buying or selling $CRD-B make sense to you?

Victoria is the best example. I wrote the policy.

Eligible Applicants: Non-government, non-profit housing organizations (including housing cooperatives) building new non-profit affordable rental housing.

It specifically scopes out BCH and CRD housing corp projects, because they have DCCs…

Also the route people are imagining is a very fagend Tory government “the polls are bad. Most of the spad appointments come via CRD because it is hard to get the staff” Cameron route. Wasn’t even true of most of the Major era spads.
November 2, 2026 at 11:10 AM
Thanks Jeremy.

Kelowna voted against cutting fees on all projects, but I’m in favour of a carve off similar or identical to this CRD one.

Appreciate the info a lot.

Also, in Victoria, CRD housing projects do not pay property taxes, however BCH’s directly owned buildings do pay a grant-in-lieu that’s equivalent to property taxes.

I think this makes sense.

the whole thing that CRD pointed out happened with quick-start, end-product manufacturers fucking with the bios and stuff because it's one of the few things they can fuck with to differentiate their product, has been going on constantly with android phones
