A wonderful first day on the Isle of Man, walking in #pilgrimage from the Sound to Spanish Head and onto Cregneash with fellow pilgrims. Along the way we shared in conversation and prayer, before ending the day with Manx Evening Prayer at Cregneash Church.

The attractive village of Craigneash, one of the last in the Isle of Man to maintain a traditional crofting way of life and a small community of traditional native speakers of the the Manx language. There are also versions of this in Scots Gaelic and Welsh.

The Calf of Man, a small island south of the island. Cregneash historic village: white thatched-roof buildings surrounded by lush green farmlands near the sea. Inside Harry Kelly's house, decorated with rustic Victorian furnishings. The Manx language survives thanks to him. A horny goat. Seriously, those horns are massive.

At a meeting this evening about the lack of a bus service to #Cregneash and #TheSound disgraceful that there is no public transport to such important places on #TheIsleOfMan, Isle of Man transport/DOI need to reinstate it asap. Time to MAKE A NOISE for a #SoundBus
