Reading Crowntide, Lightlark #4, by Alex Aster! Boy, if only her publisher let her write instead of making her publish 3 books a year— I've never seen a series get so noticeably worse in prose, quality, plot, EVERYTHING. I didn't like lightlark, but at least it felt like someone tried somewhere. ☠️

"Crowntide" - book 4/4 in Lightlark series.
The book was fine - but I dislike memory wipe plot devices. IMO - they are boring tropes.
Sadly, I couldn't DNF this book because I purchased it.
Ended on a cliffhanger.

So, life finally called down enough for me to sit and read, I finally finished Crowntide by the, quite frankly, awesome Alex Aster and I remain jealous of her characters and her ability to brutally force me into loving all of them.
I am now patiently waiting for the next in the series.

I finally got Book 2 Dark Star Burning, Ash Falls White and I immediately ordered book 4 in the LightLark saga CrownTide when it came out on December 2nd.
