9yo started CS50 this week and they are so excited to be learning computer science and not just coding. They watched 45 minutes of a 2 hour lecture before I woke up. I had no idea they were capable of concentrating on something longer than a YouTube video.

Harvard offers a free introduction to computer science that’s eleven weeks long. You could EASILY get an entry level IT helpdesk job with this certificate and a high school diploma. If I were a hiring manager I would be extremely impressed:

i got some questions about resources for getting started in game dev, the free stuff i recommend is the latest harvard cs50 opencourseware followed by the cs50 game dev lectures. do all the assignments and it will give you a good foundation, especially for jams. after that just try some jams out

putting it differently, Harvard cs50 - intro to computer science, replaced it's "ethics" module with one on artificial intelligence
