Matthews Studio Equipment has launched a new compact 33 Sliding Leg C-Stand with Grip Head and 40" Arm, designed specifically for content creators, corporate videographers, photographers, and filmmakers who need portable and reliable support equipment. The stand is engineered to fit in the trunk of a standard four-door sedan, making it ideal for crews without dedicated grip trucks or production vehicles. Key features include V-shaped brackets for three points of contact ensuring a secure hold, compatibility with all 5/8" Baby Pins and receivers, and a sliding Rocky Mountain leg system that allows for easy leveling on uneven terrain such as stairs or curbs. The stand offers a maximum height of 110" (279.4 cm) and a minimum height of 46.3" (118 cm), with a load capacity of 22 lbs (10 kg). When equipped with the included grip head and 40" arm, the total weight is 15 lbs (6.8 kg), while the stand alone weighs 11 lbs (5 kg). The footprint measures 27.5" (70 cm) when extended and folds down to 21" (54 cm) for compact storage. Matthews emphasizes the durability and serviceability of the product, noting that every component can be repaired or replaced in the field, ensuring long-term use. The 33 C-Stand continues Matthews' legacy of innovation, building on the company's introduction of the first folding-leg C-Stand in 1974. Available in black powder coat or chrome, the stand is priced individually at $267 or in 2-packs for $499. This new product addresses the growing need for portable, space-efficient equipment in the evolving landscape of content creation, where mobility and reliability are paramount for professionals working in diverse environments.
