In a Victor public talk, lecturer Mike Beast described how U.S. cemeteries evolved from family homesteads and urban graveyards to rural garden cemeteries and modern memorial parks, discussed monument types (white bronze/zinc, obelisks), and said cremation rose above 50% after COVID to about 60% in 2026.
