A stage crammed with musicians at the Crystal Ballroom in Portland, Oregon a couple of years ago. From left to right: Thomas Lauderdale of Pink Martini fame, a local college choir behind him going to the right, the surf rock band, Satan’s Pilgrims are front and center in white trousers, red shirts and black jackets, and to the right behind them are the members of a Latin Cumbia band that opened and were so much fun. It was out of this world. Chyna Forbes joined them to sing later. The lower half of the picture is just silhouetted heads from the crowd, all on their feet, dancing. The stage lights are casting red beams on the stage while arches of white Christmas lights line the walls on the left and right. Honestly one of the most fun concerts I’ve been to. We danced all night.

lack of character. "<genre> sounds all the same!" sometimes is true, at least the songs that get popular.

also a cultural group thingy, I don't fit well with the people that listen to popular dance music in my country (cumbia, reggaeton, cuarteto) so i tend to not like most of those songs

Cuando Garbanci tenía alrededor de 2 años le regalé un cuento sobre Ella FItzgerald. Le gustaba bastante. Le ponía a Ella cantando pero enseguida se cansaba y me pedía La vaca lola versión cumbia.
