Not long until we open. It's a ground-breaking literary award that is yet to receive funding (she added pointedly) and it exists to shine a light on unpaid carers. There are around 7million in the UK alone. You could enter the prize for fun and focus, but it also exists as the first step into career

This is a unique prize for unpaid carers which is supported by professionals across industry & free to enter. All winning work is published in a beautiful anthology. UK & ROI only. You can enter a piece of short fiction or non fiction (including creative nonfiction) or a poem of up to 40 lines.

Oh my. Open a few hours & in come #Curae entries: I’ve already read things of startling beauty. You have until 1st March and shortlist announced 1st May. If you’re working on a longer piece you CAN extract work from it to use it as the basis for a standalone piece. The key criterion: unpublished
