✨Check out my new Pokemon evolution video!✨

Just posted a new video showcasing my process for designing the second evolution of a custom Pokemon line! This cute little water turtle gets some cool armor and a winged helmet. What do you think?

Day 3 of redesigning old Fakemon:

Meet Kitsunoka, a Mythical Pokemon with the unused type combo of Fire and Fairy!

I really struggled with this one, but after improvising a bit, I ended up loving the design a lot!

#Art #FanArt #Fakemon #CustomPokemon #Fox #Kitsune
This is Kitsunoka, a Fire and Fairy Type Mythical Pokemon. When looking back at the initial design, Kitsire, there was definitely a lot of room for improvement. The tails were very stiff and the whole thing would look a lot better with some gradients. When starting the redesign, I was struggling a lot with the head because it ended up looking more like a pre-evolution than a fully-evolved Pokemon. The expression also lacked the calmness and gracefulness that I initially envisioned (which now thinking about it, you can't really do that if you make the eye an angry-looking one). I thought I goofed up again after making the body too small, but after thinking about it, I realized it was the perfect opportunity to make a little Mythical Pokemon! It may not have the personality I intended, but I love how cute and determined she looks! For her Shiny, I gave her white and purple colors to make her look more ghostly and mysterious.

Day 2 of redesigning old Fakemon:

I'm back at it again with another redesigned Fakemon. This time, it's for Echignic, which actually has the unused type combination of Poison and Ice!

Using blue and white gradients really makes all the difference!

#Art #FanArt #Pokemon #Fakemon #CustomPokemon
Meet Frigiquill, a poison and ice type echidna! The old design, Echignic, looked a lot more like a hedgehog than an echidna. Additionally the general design could be heavily improved upon. When redesigning the Fakemon, I leaned a lot more into the echidna aspect and gave him A LOT more quills! The way they're arranged kinda reminds me of a pangolin! Additionally, I gave him toxic claws and used blue and white gradients to touch up the design and give it more of an ice-type vibe. Because I didn't want to go through the tedious process of changing the individual quills on the Shiny Form, I simply decided to give it a cool purple color (no pun intended).

Day 1 of redesigning old Fakemon:

After not making any custom Pokemon for about two years, I thought it would be a good idea to try my hand at it again and redesign some of my old Fakemon.

I'd say I'm very happy with the result!

The picture shows Candipup and its evolutions. At the top right corner, you can see Grumpwool, my old 2024 design of this Fakemon. When designing Grumpwool, I was inspired by the idiom "a wolf in sheep's clothing." It was basically a dark type wolf in fairy type wool. When designing the Candipup line, I further fleshed out the concept and made the wool more vibrant. Since I better knew how to draw wolves, improving the design wasn't too hard. The dex entries are as follows: Candipup: Candipups are popular among kids for their soft and fluffy wool. Some say it smells exactly like cotton candy. Candicane: When hunting, a Candicane releases a sweet smell to attract small Pokemon. If you step into range, you're in for a nasty bite! Alpharoma: An Alpharoma's scent is pungent and much stronger than that of a Candicane's. It will slowly knock out anyone who breathes it in for too long. Weirdly enough, the Shinies (and the old Fakemon in general) were inspired by Beta from "Hailey's On It!" You're probably thinking: "Mimli, where the heck does Beta fall into this? That's so random!" And to that I say: "Yeah. I don't even watch 'Hailey's On It!' lol." However, what intrigued me about Beta was that he looked like a cute teddy bear, but he wasn't very nice. Aside from the "Wolf in Sheep's Clothing" idiom, that's where the idea of Grumpwool originally came from.
